Goofy cars are all the rage this year. At first glance we didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but eventually we realized that these unique and hilarious designs are actually kind of cool.
So, what’s our favorite goofy car? How about The Ford Billiken? It’s an obvious nod to the classic mascot of Loyola University in Chicago, which provides a nostalgic touch. For sheer silliness we can’t beat The Goodyear Tire Car.
This tire-shaped ride is based on a children’s story about a little boy who wants to see into the future. You’ll have to think back to grade school and spend some time in a therapist’s office to help you make sense of this one. To us, that’s pretty amazing.
But what if you’re too young or simply not interested in Goofy? Well that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on all the fun by looking at only cool cars.
That’s why we’ve compiled a list of the most bizarre cars that can be purchased today. Click on the Image Below to See the Goofy Car!
The Most Goofy Cars for Sale This Year
Let’s start out with a bang. The Ford Dinosaur is by far the most unique hunk of metal money can buy. This 1960s-inspired ride makes us want to drive around the desert in our leather jackets and black shades.
It’s just so damn cool. We’re a bit confused about its name, but we can accept that dinosaurs are pretty goofy looking.
Next up is the Detroit Metro Airport Shuttle. It’s a miniscule car that is supposed to emulate an airport shuttle bus in Detroit. It looks just like a far-fetched parody of an old school bus with three doors, two windows and one window on each side.
We can’t wait to hop on board and take off for the airport!
Now this might be the wackiest car name we’ve ever encountered, but it’s also easily one of our favorites. It’s called The International Rhino-Sitting Organization.
You can just see these rhinos sitting around in their offices with a bunch of women sitting on them. The car is certainly unique, but it’s unclear in the way only an odd name can be.
To some, the idea of having a goiter in your neck is completely terrifying. Luckily for those folks, we’ve found The Goiter Car to soothe your worries.
This goofy ride was made for nursing homes, which we suppose makes sense since it’s based on a goiter and all. There are only two seats, but we sure do want to ride in this car.
Jumping right back into the Goofy Car lineup, let’s hop on board the Groucho Marx Van. This is a great way to re-enact all of the famous Marx Brothers films, but also one of our all time favorite movies is The Wedding Singer.
With that casting, we’re thrilled to ride around in this goofy van.
Some might argue that The Cinco Maxx is the goofiest car of the year. We certainly would not disagree with you, since it is essentially a vehicle for dogs. Just hop on in and let your dog do the driving with this rear-engine, two-door vehicle. Just be careful, it might not have dog-like reflexes.
The Volkswagen Beetle is a classic ride, so it’s no surprise to see it in our list of goofy cars. The best thing about The Volkswagen Beetle is that it comes in black and red, which are two of the most iconic colors for Goofy Car aficionados.
It’s no wonder this ride has topped multiple Goofy Car lists since its release in 2011.
You may think that the front-wheel drive Bug is just another take on Volkswagen’s classic car design, but it is actually a parody of a Mini Cooper.
This Bug is a fun way to get around town, but we still like to imagine what it would be like to have this car in our garage. We’d definitely have so many accessories and toolboxes and beer crates.
The Corgi Wagon is an interesting crossover vehicle that flows from our list of awesome cars with goofy names into Goofy Car territory. The name comes from the Corgi brand that was owned by Mattel, which is the same company responsible for The Goodyear Tire Car in our list. This wagon flows from the past into the present, but keep in mind that it’s actually a modern design.
The final entry on this list of Goofy Cars is The White Zombie van. The White Zombie has been stealing hearts since 1932, so it’s no surprise to see it pop up on our Goofy Car list.
Most people only picture the movie characters in their mind, but we can see the practical use for this van.
It’s a great way to haul hay, or if you want to be more creative, you could use it to haul around your friends while they’re passed out after too many Red Bulls. We hope that this car makes an appearance every year on future Goofy Car lists.
